Gabriel Rodriguez, fondly known as G-Rod, was born in Puerto La Cruz, Venezuela, where he spent his formative years before relocating to the United States with his family.
As a child, he developed a fascination with the art of acting during a peculiar incident involving a U.S. Border Patrol interview in South Florida. During the interview, he was mistakenly asked to act out a job-related scenario, which he did with gusto. The director, taken aback by his unorthodox approach, informed him that he had successfully passed the interview, but in his three decades of conducting interviews, he had never seen anyone act out the actions with such flair.
G-Rod's newfound passion for acting led him to study scenes from his favorite movies, which he would often film to entertain his friends and family. This nascent interest prompted him to seek formal training, where he studied under the tutelage of Lori Wyman and Marc Macaulay, a seasoned actor with over three decades of experience in film and television projects.
Under Marc's guidance, G-Rod delved into scene study work, honing his acting techniques and on-camera execution. He also attended classes at the University Center of the Performing Arts in Davie, Florida, and HB Studios in New York City.
G-Rod's impressive resume boasts appearances in numerous television shows and films, including True Memoirs of an International Assassin alongside Kevin James, 24: Legacy alongside Corey Hawkins, MacGyver starring Benjamin Bratt, The Walking Dead, Ballers opposite Rob Corddry, The Red Road with Jason Momoa, Constantine, Graceland, and Burn Notice.
In the near future, he will be featured in the TV series Power and Orange is the New Black.
