Andrea Gabriella Kapsaski is a multifaceted creative individual, boasting a vast array of talents that span across various artistic disciplines. She is a poet, playwright, translator, theatre director, film producer, and actress, each of which showcases her remarkable versatility and dedication to her craft.
Kapsaski's literary endeavors include the publication of her debut poetry book, "Avti i grigori fthora tis sarkas", in 2000 through Editions Omvros in Athens. This marked the beginning of a long and illustrious career in theatre, which saw her establish and produce the "Ancient Theatre Alive Festival" from 2000 to 2002. She also served as a producer for the Antitheatro, Athens, from 1998 to 2002, and Act Provocateur International from 2005 to 2006. Furthermore, she took seven plays to the esteemed Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
In addition to her theatre work, Kapsaski has also ventured into radio production, co-writing and producing two series: "Europe between the Wars" (1981-1982) with Kostas Mazanis, and "Under the Light of the Full Moon" (1981-1983) for National Radio Greece.
Born to a creative family, Kapsaski is the daughter of renowned Greek director and poet Sokrates Kapsaskis. She is also the mother of two talented individuals: director Selene Kapsaski and actress Rahel Kapsaski.
As a film producer, Kapsaski has been involved in several projects, including "Spidarlings" (2016),"My Head Hurts" (2000),and "Films Confiscated from a French Brothel" (2021). She is also the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Après Vague Productions, and a producer for the US TV series "London Calling".
