George Gray is a multifaceted television personality who has been a staple on American screens for nearly three decades. He has made a name for himself as a host, comedian, actor, and performer on a wide range of popular TV programs across major networks and cable channels.
In the late 1990s, George gained recognition as the host of the live revival version of "The Gong Show" called "Extreme Gong" on GSN. This stint led to a plethora of hosting credits, including the premiere season of "Junkyard Wars" on TLC, which earned him a Primetime Emmy Award nomination.
George's hosting credits continued to grow, with stints on NBC, including the daily US broadcast version of the popular game show "The Weakest Link," as well as hosting other programs for the network, including the hit series "$25 Million-Dollar Hoax!"
With his extensive hosting experience, George went on to front a variety of programs, including "Gimme My Reality Show!" on FOX, as well as numerous HGTV programs and specials, such as "What's With That House?," "HGTV Summer Showdown," "All Out Christmas," and "Man Land."
His other notable credits include ESPN's sports-fantasy reality series "I'd Do Anything," National Lampoon's "Greek Games," TBS's "Movies for Guys Who Like Movies," and FX's "Friday Nights" among others. Behind the scenes, George co-created and co-hosted the sketch comedy show "A Guy Walks Into a Bar" with George Wendt of "Cheers" fame.
In April 2011, George made TV history once again when he became the third permanent announcer in history for America's best-known, longest-running game show, "The Price Is Right," where he continues to serve as Drew Carey's sidekick in their 13th season on air together.
Born in St. Louis and raised in Tucson, Arizona, George now divides his time between Los Angeles, the historic mining town of Bisbee, Arizona, and his childhood home in St. Louis. He is a graduate of the University of Arizona and has a menagerie of cats, as well as an astonishing collection of classic cars and motorcycles.
