Jennifer Michelle Goodwin, professionally known as Ginnifer Goodwin, was born on May 22, 1978, in the vibrant city of Memphis, Tennessee, to Linda Kantor, a highly educated doctor of educational technology, and Tim Goodwin, a talented musician and the owner of the renowned Memphis Sound Productions recording studio.
Ginnifer's academic journey began at Lausanne Collegiate School, where she graduated in 1996. She then pursued her passion for acting by earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Acting from Boston University's esteemed School for the Arts in 2001.
Her thirst for knowledge and expertise led her to further her studies at London's prestigious institutions, including the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts, and the Shakespeare Institute in Stratford-Upon-Avon.
After a brief stint in New York, Ginnifer relocated to California, where she currently resides with her loving husband, actor Josh Dallas, and their two adorable sons.
