Giorgio Cantarini was born on April 12, 1992, in Orvieto, Italy. At the tender age of five, he made his cinema debut in Roberto Benigni's film "La Vita è Bella" (Life is Beautiful),playing the role of Joshua. This performance earned him the Jackie Coogan Award, becoming the youngest and only Italian winner of this prestigious award.
In 1999, Cantarini worked on the American blockbuster "Gladiator" directed by Ridley Scott, where he played a cameo role. He also appeared in two Hallmark films, "In Love and War" and the popular card commercial "Bicycle boy", which was used for several years.
After taking a break from the world of cinema to focus on his studies and sports, Cantarini made guest appearances on Italian television, including the popular TV program "Ballando con le Stelle". In 2007, he returned to the big screen with the films "Il giorno, la notte. Poi l'alba" and "il mattino ha l'oro in bocca", starring Elio Germano.
In 2010, Cantarini appeared in the Italian TV series "Distretto di Polizia" and later won a place at Rome's prestigious National School of Cinema, graduating in 2014. After graduating, he was cast in the lead role of the web series "AUS-adotta uno studente", the first ever RAI web series.
Cantarini then moved to Paris and later returned to Italy, where he performed, directed, and produced Pinter's play "The Dumb Waiter" in Rome and Vicenza. In 2017, he played the lead role in the short film "Il dottore dei pesci", which was presented at numerous film festivals in Europe and Canada.
At the beginning of 2018, Cantarini moved to New York to study at the New York film Academy, and later that year, he was selected for the cast of "Lamborghini - the Legend", directed by Bobby Moresco, starring Antonio Banderas and Alec Baldwin.
