Rupinder Singh Grewal, better known by his stage name Gippy Grewal, is a multifaceted personality who has established himself as a prominent figure in the Punjabi music and film industry. Born with a childhood nickname "Gippy", he adopted it as his stage name and went on to pursue a career in music and acting.
Grewal's early education took place at Nankana Sahib Public School in Kot Gangu Rai, Ludhiana. He later earned a degree in Hotel Management from the North India Institute of Hotel Management in Panchkula. This educational background served as a solid foundation for his future endeavors.
Grewal began his music career in 2002 with the album Chakk Ley, featuring Jagdev Maan. He then went on to release several albums, including Aaja Ve Mitran (2003),Phulkari 2 (2005),Chandi De Challe (2007),My Time To Shine (2008),Desi Rockstar (2010),The Main Man (2020),and Limited Edition (2021).

Grewal made his acting debut in the Punjabi film Mel Karade Rabba (2010),which was a huge commercial success. He then starred in Jihne Mera Dil Luteya (2011),a romantic comedy that also did well at the box office.
In 2012, he appeared in Mirza: The Untold Story, directed by Baljit Singh Deo. Since then, he has acted in several Punjabi films, including Jatt James Bond (2014),Carry on Jatta (2012),Manje Bistre (2017),and Daaka (2019).
