Grayson McCouch, a talented individual, was born and raised in Chappaqua, New York. He pursued his passion for theater by earning a Bachelor of Arts Honors Degree in theater from Hamilton College in Clinton, New York, where he also showcased his athletic skills by playing varsity lacrosse and rugby.
Following his undergraduate studies, McCouch furthered his education by obtaining a graduate degree from the British American Drama Academy's Oxford-Yale program in London.
Throughout his career, McCouch has had the opportunity to perform in numerous productions, including four seasons with the Williamstown Theater Festival in Massachusetts, where he appeared in various plays such as "Arturo Ul," "The Visit," "Three Penny Opera," "A Midsummer Night's Dream," "Inherit the Wind," and "The Moonstone." In 1992, he took on the role of Electra with the Almeida Theater in London and also appeared in "Women Beware Women" at the Royal Court.
McCouch's television career began with a three-year stint on the soap opera "Another World," where he played the character Dr. Morgan Winthrop. He then gained international recognition for his role as Munition Specialist Gruber in the blockbuster hit "Armageddon."
In recent years, McCouch has made significant appearances in various TV shows, including seven years on "As the World Turns," where he received an Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actor. His portrayal of Dusty Donovan earned him a fan following.
Some of his notable performances include roles in "The Apostles/Fox," "Dope/FX," "Momentum/Miramax," "Throttle/Dimension," "Legacy/Alliance Atlantis," "UPN," "All Souls/Sci Fi," "UPN," "The Agency/CBS," "Airtight/Sony," "Viacom," "Beverly Hills 90210/Spelling," "Forbidden Island/Spelling," and "Cosby Mysteries/NBC."
Currently, McCouch is starring as Don, Adriana's single father and a surgeon, in the Nick at Nite drama series "Hollywood Heights."
