Greg Hovanessian was born and raised in rural southern Ontario, where his passion for performance and creativity began to take shape at a young age. With an athletic background, he became involved in various organized and extreme sports, as well as recreational gymnastics, parkour, and martial arts, earning several awards and scholarships along the way.
As he grew older, Hovanessian's focus shifted towards the creative arts, where he explored a wide range of projects, including dance, music, and songwriting. Through self-taught skill sets, he developed a versatility that he believed would serve him well in pursuing acting as a full-time career.
In 2013, Hovanessian landed his first professional acting role on CW's hit series Nikita, marking the beginning of a successful career in television and film. He went on to accumulate credits on various series and feature films, including Covert Affairs, Reign, Slasher, Mayday, Private Eyes, and UnREAL.
In 2016, Hovanessian landed the lead role in eHero, an eSports coming-of-age film, starring alongside renowned actor Sean Astin. Since then, he has secured series regular roles on The Mist and Cardinal, as well as a recurring role on the upcoming series Another Life, for which he is excited to join the cast of Hallmark's new hit series When Hope Calls.
