Harry/Kurt, a renowned performer, emigrated from Germany to the United States around 1915, accompanied by his sister, Grace/Freida. Upon their arrival, they secured employment with a gentleman named Earles, subsequently adopting his surname.
As the years passed, their sister Daisy/Hilda joined the duo in the early 1920s, followed by the arrival of their sister Tiny/Elly in the mid- to late 1920s. The four siblings concurrently pursued careers in the film industry and worked for the esteemed Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus.
By around 1930, the quartet opted to leave the movie business behind, devoting their time and energies to the circus, where they remained until the mid-1950s. During this period, they made sporadic film appearances, most notably as Munchkins in the iconic classic The Wizard of Oz (1939),as well as a brief, fleeting shot in the Best Picture-winning The Greatest Show on Earth (1952).
Eventually, the foursome retired in the mid-1950s. Tragically, Grace passed away in 1970, followed by Daisy in 1980 and Harry in 1985.
