Taylor Sheridan, a renowned filmmaker, and Hugh Dillon, a talented actor and musician, co-created and executive-produced the Paramount series Mayor of Kingstown. Sheridan, an Academy Award and Golden Globe nominee, shares the creative duties with Dillon, who also stars in the show alongside Jeremy Renner as Detective Ian Ferguson and is credited as a writer.
Hugh Dillon's remarkable career began with his success as the frontman of the multi-platinum rock band Headstones. His early accomplishments caught the attention of filmmaker Bruce McDonald, who cast him in the lead role of the 1996 cult-classic film Hard Core Logo. Quentin Tarantino, impressed by the film at the South by Southwest festival, decided to distribute it through Rolling Thunder, further solidifying Dillon's reputation.
Debra Granik, the acclaimed director of Winter's Bone, took notice of Dillon's talent and cast him alongside Vera Farmiga in the Sundance Film Festival award-winning Down To The Bone. This breakout role led to his starring role in the dark and twisted serial Durham County, followed by his lead role in the CBS/CTV co-production Flashpoint, which aired for five seasons.
Dillon's versatility was showcased in his appearances on AMC's The Killing, Showcase's drama Continuum, and Showtime's Twin Peaks. In 2017, he starred alongside Elizabeth Olsen and Jeremy Renner in Taylor Sheridan's feature film Wind River. He also appeared alongside Kevin Costner in four seasons of Sheridan's critically acclaimed Yellowstone.
As the lead vocalist of Headstones, Hugh Dillon has recorded ten full-length albums, yielding multiple top-ten hits on the Billboard Rock Charts.
