Isabel Lucas, a talented Australian actress, was born in Melbourne, Australia, to an Australian father and a Swiss mother. Her family's diverse cultural background is reflected in her upbringing, as she spent her childhood in Switzerland, Melbourne, Jabiru, a small mining town in the Northern Territory, and Cairns, Australia. Alongside her sister, Nina, Isabel attended schools that fostered a multicultural environment, where she was exposed to children from various ethnic backgrounds.
Isabel's passion for drama began early on, and she continued to pursue her interest in the field by studying drama at the Victorian College of Arts, Queensland University of Technology, and later, the PEM Method (Perdekamp Emotional Method). Prior to being discovered by her agent in 2002, Isabel never auditioned for roles, but her talent was soon recognized, and she landed her first television role as Tasha on the popular Australian series, Home and Away. Her impressive performance earned her a Logie Award for new popular talent.
In 2008, Isabel made the transition to Los Angeles, where she landed her breakthrough role in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009). Since then, she has appeared in numerous US and Australian productions, garnering several awards and nominations. Recently, Isabel starred in the award-winning film, "Bosh & Rockit" ("Ocean Boy"),and is set to appear in the upcoming thriller, "Lunacy". She also recently wrapped up filming for "Sons of Summer" and is currently in pre-production for the role of Marie Curie in "Radiant", alongside award-winning writer/director Annika Glac.
Isabel is a dedicated animal rights supporter and has worked with various environmental organizations. For the past 10 years, she has been a proud Patron/Ambassador for Melbourne's Human Rights and Arts Film Festival (HRAFF). Known for her commitment to social justice, ethical values, and eco-conscious lifestyle, Isabel has become the brand ambassador and face of several fashion and cosmetics campaigns.
