Blair's early life was marked by a move from a pig farm in Ponoka, Alberta to Red Deer, Alberta when he was just four years old. As he entered his first year of college, Blair began to pursue his passion for acting, taking drama classes to supplement his commerce degree. However, after just one semester, he discovered his true calling and made the decision to switch his focus to acting. In the spring of 2004, Blair was accepted into the highly acclaimed professional theatre training program at Studio 58 in Vancouver, British Columbia, where he went on to graduate in 2007.
