Jag Patel is a British actor and model, born in Kampala, Uganda, with a lifelong passion for films, acting, and music. Despite his early interest in these fields, pursuing an acting career in Hollywood was a distant dream during his childhood in Uganda in the 1960s.
Jag's acting and modeling career finally took off in November 2015, with numerous notable roles in prominent Hollywood productions. He has appeared as a supporting artist in Bridget Jones's Baby (2016),as a pedestrian in Doctor Strange (2016),and as a Turkish worker in Wonder Woman (2017). Other notable projects include The Death of Stalin (2017),The Hitman's Bodyguard (2017),and Hello Au Revoir (2017).
In addition to his film work, Jag has also appeared in various television series, including Guilt (2016) as a high-ranking British police officer and Yonderland (2016) as a villager. He has also played lead roles in several short films and is known for his versatility and commitment to playing characters with passion.
Jag's early life was marked by his upbringing in Kampala, Uganda, where he was exposed to a unique blend of British, Indian, and African cultures. His parents, both born in India, immigrated to Uganda in 1927, where his father worked on building railways and later operated a general store in the village of Kibibi, Uganda. His mother was a housewife.
After moving to London in 1968, Jag began his working career in accounting and finance, later running a newsagent business for over 20 years. He eventually joined an Internet Service Provider, working full-time. Throughout his career, Jag has maintained a strong interest in sports, particularly cricket, which he continues to play to this day. He is also an avid music collector, with a collection of over 90,000 LPs and 60,000 singles.
Jag is the youngest of four brothers and two sisters. He is married to Kiran Patel and together they have three sons, Jassel, Jai, and Rimmel, all born and raised in Hemel Hempstead.
