Jai Rodriguez is a talented Emmy Award-winning television host/actor who began his career at the age of 18 with a role in the critically acclaimed Broadway musical RENT. He continued to work in Broadway shows like The Producers and Spinning Into Butter, and created and performed the title role of Zanna in the Off-Broadway sensation Zanna, Don't!.
In addition to his Broadway career, Jai became a star in New York City nightlife with his long-running Twisted Cabaret concert series at Club XL. He is most recognized for his role as the 'Culture Vulture' on Bravo's Emmy Award-winning series Queer Eye For The Straight Guy.
Jai has worked as an authority in culture and style, hosting various lifestyle entertainment programming, including Styleyes Miami, America's Prom Queen, Ultimate Style, and Model Latina. He has also hosted the ABC official pre-show for the 2009 American Music Awards.
In recent years, Jai has appeared in dramatic roles on NBC's Harry's Law, ABC's Detroit 187, and Days Of Our Lives. He has also played Wayne Brady's husband Tom on CBS's hit How I Met Your Mother. Other notable roles include guest star appearances on NBC's Are You There Chelsea?, FOX's Bones, and NBC's Harry's Law.
Jai has also starred as "Geoffrey" on ABC's comedy Malibu Country opposite Reba McEntire and Lily Tomlin, making him the first male to garner fame from a reality series to become a series regular on Network TV. He has also appeared in Kelly Clarkson's NBC Christmas Special, Kelly Clarksons Cautionary Christmas Tale.
A dynamic vocalist, Jai has shared the stage singing duets with musical legends like Gladys Knight, Patti LaBelle, Brian McKnight, Taylor Dayne, and Michelle Williams. He was also featured in Lady Gaga's video "Telephone" featuring Beyoncé.
Jai has continued to develop his professional musical endeavors, both in and out of the recording studio, and has performed his one-man shows Xposed, My Truth, and Dirty Little Secrets in various cities. He currently serves as the Co-Creator and Co-Executive Producer for LOGO's new series Bad Sex.
On December 11, 2013, Jai starred opposite Kelly Clarkson in her one-hour holiday movie: Kelly Clarkson's Cautionary Christmas Music Tale.
