James Balsamo is a multifaceted individual with a diverse range of talents, including songwriting, acting, sculpting, and filmmaking. From a young age, he was captivated by the Horror genre, attending his first Horror convention at the tender age of eight.
As a youngster, James knew exactly what he wanted to achieve in life - to follow in the footsteps of his horror icons, Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees. Fuelled by his ambitions, James convinced his parents to enroll him in Acting School. As a student in several prestigious New York acting schools, including Lee Strasberg, James' passion for film and acting continued to grow.
A lifelong New Yorker, Balsamo continued his professional career at Professional Performing Arts High School in New York City. James grew tired of theatrical acting after high school and knew it was time to make the transition to the big screen. He left his Shakespearean tights behind and poured his heart and soul into Five Towns College.
Balsamo appears on both sides of the camera in many of his works, including his most recent project, Hack Job. Hack Job, which was made on a budget of under $60,000, has made its international debut and is selling worldwide. The film has also received exciting mentions during the NYC Tour of music icons GWAR and Ghoul.
For now, James continues to push the boundaries of his craft with his latest project, "Cool As Hell".
