James Elliot Bourne, born on September 13, 1983, in Rochford, Essex, United Kingdom, initially gained fame as a member of the English Pop Rock band Busted, alongside Matt Willis and Charlie Simpson, who would later become the frontman of Fightstar.
From 2001 to 2005, Busted achieved remarkable success, boasting four chart-topping singles, two successful albums, and numerous sold-out tours. However, this success was short-lived, as the band disbanded shortly after Charlie Simpson left to pursue his own music endeavors with Fightstar.
While Matt Willis embarked on a solo career, James Bourne attempted to recreate the magic of Busted by forming a new band, Son of Dork. The group's debut album, "Welcome to Loserville," was released, but the band gradually faded from the spotlight.
In the midst of writing a second album, Son of Dork disbanded due to a lack of interest from the band members and the general public. James Bourne spent the next few years writing for emerging American artists, including All-Star and Miranda Cosgrove, before finally pursuing a solo project.
Under the moniker Future Boy, Bourne shed his Pop Rock image to explore a more mature electronic sound, releasing his debut collection of songs on his website.
