James Frey was born in the city of Cleveland, a bustling metropolis located in the state of Ohio, and later graduated from Denison University in the year 1992.
He made the decision to relocate to Los Angeles in the mid-1990s, where he pursued a career in screenwriting, penning notable films such as Kissing a Fool and Sugar: The Fall of the West.
In the year 2003, Frey released his debut book, "A Million Little Pieces," which garnered significant attention and was later adapted into a film directed by the renowned Sam Taylor-Johnson.
The follow-up to this book, "My Friend Leonard," was released in 2005 and received widespread acclaim.
Frey continued to write and publish books, including "Bright Shiny Morning" in 2009, "The Final Testament of the Holy Bible" in 2011, and the upcoming "Katerina" in 2018.
