Jan Uddin, an internationally acclaimed actor, was born in Stoke-on-Trent, England, to Bangladeshi parents. He has lived in several countries, including Bangladesh, Tunisia, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and currently resides in the United States.
Uddin's passion for acting began at a very young age, and at the age of 18, he moved to London to pursue his dream career. He obtained a certificate in Drama from the Drama School in London.
In 2011, he made his film debut in the British action film "Shank" and starred in the epic historical war film "Day of the Falcon" alongside Antonio Banderas. In 2018, he appeared alongside Gabriel Byrne and Harvey Keitel in the thriller "Lies We Tell." This year, he starred in the critically acclaimed historical drama "Cliffs of Freedom." He is set to appear in the upcoming science fiction film "The Code."
Uddin has also made a name for himself in television, with credits including "Marvel: Agents Of Shield," "The Red Tent," "Injustice," "The Bill," "Casualty," and "Panorama."
Apart from his acting career, Uddin is passionate about philosophy and religion. He is currently pursuing an online degree in Theology from the University of Aberdeen.
