Jarno "Jarppi" Lumsden, born on August 11th, 1979, is a Finnish media personality and a key member of the renowned stunt group, The Dudesons. In his native Finland, he is also affectionately known as "Jarno2," although the majority of people recognize him by his more popular moniker, Jarppi.
The Dudesons, a brainchild of Jarppi and his childhood friends Jarno Laasala, Jukka Hilden, and HP Parviainen, began filming their original series "The Dudesons" around 2001, initially airing on MoonTV. Subsequently, the group embarked on a series of live shows, accompanied by the band The Odorants.
Jarppi is widely recognized as the 'Funny Fat Guy,' primarily due to his ability to poke fun at his co-star Jukka Hilden's stupidity. One of Jarppi's most distinctive characteristics is his catchphrase, "two thumbs up," which stems from his congenital absence of the thumb on his right hand.
The origin of Jarppi's thumb loss has been the subject of much speculation, with some attributing it to a wrestling match with a polar bear, while others claim it occurred during a motorcycle stunt or when using a power tool. According to Jarppi, the doctors attempted to reattach his thumb but were unsuccessful. The preserved thumb can be seen in Season 3, Episode 7 of "The Dudesons," titled "The Return of Jarppi's Thumb."
In his personal life, Jarppi is a devoted father to his son with his wife, the talented singer Elina Karttunen.
