Jasika Nicole, a multi-talented individual, hails from Birmingham, Alabama, where she laid the foundation for her artistic pursuits. She subsequently enrolled at Catawba College in Salisbury, North Carolina, to hone her skills in musical theatre, dance, and studio art.
Following her academic endeavors, Nicole made the bold move to New York City, where she immersed herself in the city's vibrant theatre scene. She took the stage in numerous Off and Off-Off Broadway productions, solidifying her credentials as a talented performer.
As Nicole's career transitioned from theatre to television and film, she brought her unique perspective and experiences to her work. As a queer, biracial, and black woman, she has been unapologetically herself, proudly walking her wife, Claire Savage, down the aisle since 2006.
Nicole's most recent and notable role is that of Keisha Taylor, the queer, woman of color narrator, in the critically acclaimed podcast 'Alice Isn't Dead', produced by Night Vale Presents. This endeavor showcases her remarkable range and dedication to representation and diversity.
When not in front of the camera or microphone, Nicole indulges in her passion for crafting, advocating for intersectional feminism in the crafting community through her written essays and blog posts. She is a self-taught expert in various crafts, including sewing, shoe-making, furniture building, and reupholstering. Additionally, she creates her own web comics, combining her artistic talents with her love of storytelling.
