Jason Kennedy's journey in the world of journalism began in 2005 when he joined E! as a news correspondent, covering a diverse range of stories and events for E! News. Born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Kennedy developed a passion for hosting at a young age, constructing a makeshift studio in his basement complete with 20 televisions, four cameras, a news desk, and an editing station.
As a child, Kennedy would often chase news trucks and take cabs to news scenes, pretending to report on local news stories. This early fascination with hosting laid the foundation for his future career. In fact, Kennedy began his on-air experience at the tender age of 15, a rare feat for an aspiring anchor.
Kennedy's academic pursuits took him to the University of Miami, where he received numerous awards, including the prestigious Associated Press Award for Best News Feature in the state of Florida. This recognition cemented his status as a talented and dedicated journalist.
In 2004, Kennedy made the bold move to Los Angeles, where he anchored segments for Open Call on the TV Guide Channel. His experience and talent have since led him to report on a wide range of high-profile stories, from President Clinton's visit to Miami to Paris Hilton's visit to a Beverly Hills spa.
