Jason earned his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Master's Degree in Education/Child Development at Wagner College. He began his career as a New York actor, appearing in over 100 commercials and various recurring roles on TV shows such as Kate & Allie, As the World Turns, and One Life to Live.
After college, Jason moved to Los Angeles in 1998 and continued his on-camera success while becoming a leading voice over artist and voice director for film and television. In 2001, he was cast as a lead actor on the hit UPN sitcom "Girlfriends," playing the role of Dr. Todd Garrett, the love interest and later husband of actress Jill Marie Jones' character.
Jason also founded Children's Playhouse Theater, a performing arts school and camp for children, in the summer of 2001. He has co-written and directed over 60 productions, benefiting thousands of students in the Los Angeles community.
In 2008, Jason began incorporating his passion for Psychology and Acting to create "The Psychology of Acting" workshop series, based on Jungian and Depth Psychology. He has taught these workshops throughout Los Angeles and New York, including at Disney and Yale University.
Jason married in 2004 and became a father of three children. After his time on "Girlfriends," he decided to focus on his family, and after a hiatus, he recently returned to the industry.
Jason's success continued with his leading role in the serio-comedy "My Trip to the Darkside," which won the Gold Jury Prize for Best Picture at the Worldfest Houston International Film Festival. He was also cast in the CBS show "My Friends With Better Lives" and has continued to work as a voice over artist and voice director, with credits including "Scorpion," "Under the Dome," "CSI: Cyber," "The Blacklist," "Black Panther," "Guardians of the Galaxy 1 & 2," and others.
Jason has also voiced characters in animated films such as "Sing," "Rock Dog," "Happy Feet One & Two," "Duck Duck Goose," and "Finding Dory," and has the honor of being known for his role as Faregame in Disney Pixar's "Cars 3."
