Jay is a multi-talented individual, credited as the writer/director of the beach party rock 'n' roll monster movie, Stomp! Shout! Scream!, which premiered at the prestigious Austin Film Festival & Screenwriters Conference in 2005. The film received widespread acclaim, with The Austin Chronicle praising its nostalgic value, stating that it "does it better than American International Pictures ever did... as much fun as an episode of Hullabaloo-- snappy bouffants, earnest braniacs, hippy-hippy-shake and all." The film went on to screen at over thirty film festivals, winning three Best-Feature Awards, and had a short theatrical run courtesy of Monogram Releasing.
Jay's work in television is equally impressive, as he is well-known as the Editor and Producer of the animated series "Aqua Teen Hunger Force" for Cartoon Network's Adult Swim, a role he held from 2000 to 2012. He also served as Supervising Editor and Producer on the feature film Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters, released in 2007. With a professional career spanning over two decades, Jay has edited numerous films and television shows, including the heist-comedy feature Supercon (Sony Pictures, 2018),as well as several Cartoon Network and Disney Channel productions.
In addition to his work in film and television, Jay has also ventured into the world of web series, directing and editing the 10-episode series The Kino-Edwards Picture Show. This unique project involved re-creating classic movie scenes, such as those from Maltese Falcon, Double Indemnity, Blade Runner, and Goonies, in Jay's own living room. The series won the award for Best Web Content at the Los Angeles Reel Independent Film Festival in 2016.
When not working on his many projects, Jay can be found in Los Angeles, CA, where he resides. In his free time, he enjoys watching baseball and is always looking to hone his skills by polishing up several monster movie scripts.
