Native Chicagoan Jeff Daniel Phillips embarked on an artistic journey that began with his studies of Fine Arts abroad in Italy. This foundation in the arts eventually led him to the University of Southern California, where he pursued dual degrees in Fine Arts and filmmaking.
Following his graduation, Phillips developed a multifaceted career, working both behind and in front of the camera. With over ten years of experience, he has honed his skills as a production designer, art director, and propmaster for various mediums, including film, television, music videos, commercials, and print ads.
During his formative years, Phillips discovered a passion for acting, which began with stage roles in productions across the United States and Europe. This early exposure to the craft eventually led to television roles, including recurring parts on the Marvel series The Gifted for FOX, Westworld, produced by J.J. Abrams for HBO, and TV dramedies Claws for TNT and Flaked for Netflix.
One of Phillips' most notable roles was that of the Geico Caveman, which he originated and portrayed for eight years. Throughout the campaign, he appeared in commercials, print advertisements, the Geico website, and the ABC sitcom Cavemen.
In addition to his television work, Phillips has also made a mark in film, with supporting roles in classics such as Robert Redford's Sneakers and David Fincher's Zodiac. His recent projects include upcoming leading roles in Becoming, alongside Toby Kebbell, Penelope Mitchell, and Jason Patric, as well as the highly anticipated Rob Zombie feature film Three From Hell, a sequel to Zombie's cult classic The Devil's Rejects. This will be Phillips' fourth feature collaboration with the horror legend, following his roles in Halloween II, The Lords of Salem, and 31.
Beyond his acting career, Phillips is currently developing and writing a Sci-Fi Fantasy series, as well as an Action-Horror, Thriller, and Heist feature films.
