One of the most highly acclaimed and in-demand illusionists and magic lecturers globally, Jeff McBride was born and raised in Upstate New York, maintaining a home studio there alongside his primary residence and studio in Las Vegas.
His rise to prominence began in 1992, when his "Mask, Myth, and Magic" tour made a stop in Barcelona, Spain, for the Barcelona Olympics Arts Festival. The following year, McBride showcased his trademark, award-winning Mask routine on World's Greatest Magic 2, which initially aired on NBC.
Throughout his illustrious career, McBride has earned numerous accolades, including being named Magician of the Year by The Magic Castle, and has toured as the opening act for renowned performers such as Tina Turner and Diana Ross. He has also been featured on a vast array of magic specials and documentaries, including PAX's Masters of Illusion, ABC's Champions of Magic, PBS's The Art of Magic, and all three episodes of The Learning Channel's Mysteries of Magic.
Moreover, McBride's impressive resume includes a guest role as Joran Belar on the popular television series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, which was specifically created for him.
Apart from his performances, McBride has lectured and led workshops for a diverse range of groups, including The Smithsonian, The Disney Institute, the International Brotherhood of Magicians, the Center for Symbolic Studies, and many others.
McBride is the founder of The Mystery School, a unique experiential retreat for magicians, which was the subject of an acclaimed 1994 CBC-TV documentary hosted by Arthur Kent.
