Jeff Seymour is a renowned American-Canadian actor, whose impressive career has spanned over four decades, with notable roles in various Canadian television series, including Jeff Ltd., Bury The Lead/The Eleventh Hour, Show Me Yours, and Being Erica.
Born in Washington, D.C., and raised in Virginia, Jeff's journey in the entertainment industry began in 1979. He started by appearing in shows such as Knots Landing, Hill Street Blues, and Bosom Buddies, before transitioning to teaching acting in 1980.
In the early stages of his career, Jeff simultaneously worked as an actor and designed and built The Gnu Theatre in LA, which eventually became one of the city's most acclaimed and respected theaters. As the founder, director, and producer of The Gnu Theatre, Jeff showcased his versatility and expertise in the entertainment industry.
In the late 1990s, Jeff relocated to Vancouver, British Columbia, where he made numerous guest appearances in various Canadian-produced series, including First Wave, Level 9, Da Vinci's Inquest, The Immortal, Smallville, Witchblade, Mutant X, and Sue Thomas F.B.Eye. During his 11-year stint in Canada, Jeff starred in three different TV series, co-created and co-wrote Jeff Ltd, and won the Gemini Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Continuing Leading Dramatic Role for his portrayal of Kamal Azizi in Bury The Lead.
Jeff's impressive career has earned him three Gemini Award nominations for his role in Bury The Lead and one nomination for Best Comedy Series as Executive Producer for Jeff Ltd. Apart from his acting accomplishments, Jeff has been an acting coach for 34 years, traveling across the United States, Canada, and Australia to teach his highly successful Acting and the Business seminars.
In recent years, Jeff has expanded his creative horizons by writing a new book on acting, titled The Real Life Actor, which showcases his expertise and passion for the craft.
