Jeffrey Reddick, a renowned figure in the film industry, is best known for creating the successful Final Destination franchise, which includes the initial film released in 2000 and its subsequent four sequels. Additionally, he co-wrote the story for and executive produced the second installment, Final Destination 2, which was released in 2003.
Born and raised in Eastern Kentucky, Jeffrey attended Berea College before making his first foray into the film industry at the tender age of 14. He wrote a prequel to the iconic horror film A Nightmare on Elm Street and mailed it to Bob Shaye, the President of New Line Cinema. Although Bob initially returned the material, Jeffrey's aggressive reply managed to win him over, and Bob eventually read the treatment, leading to a lasting connection between the two.
This early exposure to the industry led to an internship at New Line Cinema, which ultimately turned into an 11-year stint at the studio. Aside from his work on the Final Destination franchise, Jeffrey has also made significant contributions to other notable films, including Tamara, a thriller released by Lions Gate in 2005, and the remake of George Romero's classic Day of the Dead, which premiered in 2008.
More recently, Jeffrey wrote and produced The Call, a film starring Lin Shaye, as well as Til Death Do Us Part and The Other, both set for release in the near future. In television, he has served as a supervising producer on Season 3 of HereTV's Dante's Cove and as a story editor on Season 2 of NBC's Midnight, Texas. Jeffrey has also worked on two animated series for Netflix, including the Emmy-nominated A Tale Dark & Grimm and Samurai Rabbit: The Usagi Chronicles.
In 2022, Jeffrey made his feature directorial debut with the thriller Don't Look Back, marking a significant milestone in his illustrious career.
