Jeremiah's early life was marked by a deep fascination with the cinematic arts, as he spent a significant portion of his childhood afternoons indulging in the dark, mystical atmosphere of his local movie theater or wandering the aisles of his beloved TLA video store in South Philly.
In 2008, Jeremiah embarked on his first documentary filmmaking endeavor, "In A Dream", which went on to receive widespread acclaim, screening theatrically across the United States and in esteemed film festivals worldwide. The documentary's success was further solidified with its broadcast on HBO, earning it a spot on the prestigious Academy Award shortlist and garnering two Emmy nominations, including the coveted "Best Documentary" award.
Following the success of his debut documentary, Jeremiah went on to create his next feature-length documentary, "Captivated: The Trials of Pamela Smart", which premiered in competition at the renowned Sundance Film Festival and was subsequently broadcast on HBO to great fanfare in 2014.
In 2018, Jeremiah premiered his latest feature-length narrative, "We The Animals", at Sundance, where it took home the esteemed NEXT Innovator Award. The film is set to be released in theaters this August, eagerly anticipated by fans and critics alike.
In addition to his feature films, Jeremiah has also made notable contributions to television, creating the pilot episode for Showtime's "7 Deadly Sins" series, as well as producing commercial work for prominent brands such as GE Capital, Pedigree, and New Balance.
When not working on his latest projects, Jeremiah can often be found enjoying the tranquil surroundings of New York City's finest public pools, where he indulges in his passion for swimming.
