Jeremy Kasten is a filmmaker known for his work on various projects, including The Theatre Bizarre, a film starring Udo Kier, and a remake of H.G Lewis' The Wizard of Gore, which features Crispin Glover, Kip Pardue, Bijou Phillips, Brad Dourif, Jeffrey Combs, and the Suicide Girls.
The Wizard of Gore premiered to sold-out crowds at the Los Angeles Film Festival and had its international premiere at Fantasia.
Kasten's third film, The Thirst, starring Jeremy Sisto, is notorious for being one of the most bloody modern vampire exploitation films. The New York Times described it as "Out-and-out pretension... just disgusting."
His second film, All Souls Day: Dias De Los Muertos, starring Laura Harring and Danny Trejo, premiered at the Slamdance Film Festival and is played worldwide every November 1st.
Kasten's The Attic Expeditions, starring Seth Green, Alice Cooper, and Ted Raimi, premiered at the Seattle International Film Festival and is considered a cult favorite.
Kasten is currently completing post-production on his sixth feature, The Dead Ones, and spends his free time directing old-fashioned spook shows for a private audience of magicians and Hollywood insiders.
In addition to his work in film, Kasten has edited over a dozen films, works as an editor and producer in reality television, directs recreations for television, and edits behind-the-scenes specials for studio films.
Kasten also has a personal life, having delivered his son, Cassidy Wilshire, on the corner of Wilshire Boulevard and Robertson Boulevard, just eight short blocks from Cedars Sinai Hospital and twelve short years from a proper degree as an obstetrician.
