Joann Kenny

Joann Kenny, also known as Jean, enjoyed a successful acting career, initially gaining recognition as Jane Bishop on the popular television series Grange Hill from 1985 to 1988. Her early achievements included appearing on the 'Just Say No' anti-drugs single in 1986, which reached a notable peak of number 5 on the music charts. Additionally, she made memorable appearances in music videos, such as The Mobiles' 1981 single "Drowning in Berlin" and Orchestral Maneuvers in the Dark's "Genetic Engineering" in 1983. Following her departure from Grange Hill, Joann continued to pursue her acting ambitions, securing roles in notable productions like Doctor Who: The Curse of Fenric and The Bill. Prior to her acting career, Joann trained in the arts at Sylvia Young Theatre School in London, where she honed her skills in acting, singing, and dance.
