Jodi Lyn O'Keefe was born to Noreen and Jack O'Keefe, a director of labor relations for Merck, in Cliffwood Beach, New Jersey. This marked the beginning of a life that would be filled with the glamour of the entertainment industry. At the tender age of 8, Jodi was inspired to follow in the footsteps of her eldest sister Heather, who was already making a name for herself as a model. Jodi's parents, no doubt proud of their daughter's newfound passion, encouraged her to pursue her dreams, and she began modeling for various companies, including Gitano Jeans and DreamPhone.
As Jodi entered her teenage years, she attended Saint John Vianney High School in Holmdel, New Jersey. However, her education was soon put on hold as she landed a role on the popular soap opera Another World (1964). Jodi played the character Marguerite Cory, and her performance undoubtedly left a lasting impression on the show's fans.
After leaving Another World, Jodi quickly secured the role of Cassidy Bridges on the hit CBS cop action/drama Nash Bridges (1996). She played the character for an impressive six seasons, solidifying her position as a talented young actress. During her time on the show, Jodi also made her big screen debut in the 1998 Halloween sequel Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (1998).
Jodi's big break came when she portrayed the snobby, popular, and rich Taylor Vaughan in the 1999 hit teen flick She's All That (1999). Her performance in the film catapulted her to fame, and she soon found herself in high demand. She went on to star in three more movies before gradually keeping a lower profile.
