Joe Casey is a multifaceted writer, producer, and content creator whose illustrious career in comic books, television, and feature films has spanned more than two decades.
Notably, Casey has written for numerous iconic franchises, including Superman, the X-Men, the Avengers, Iron Man, and GI Joe, among many others. Moreover, he is the visionary creator of Marvel's America Chavez, which was featured in Marvel Studios' Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness.
Furthermore, Casey's impressive portfolio includes the Eisner Award-nominated cosmic superhero epic, Gødland, as well as critically-acclaimed runs on series such as Wildcats and Automatic Kafka, which earned him a spot on numerous "best of the decade" lists. His genre-bending cult-favorites Officer Downe and Butcher Baker the Righteous Maker solidified his reputation as a bold and innovative storyteller, earning him a place on MTV.com's list of the 10 best writers of 2011.
As described by Comics Alliance, Casey is indeed the "most dangerous man in comics." His Officer Downe feature film, released in 2015, was based on his original graphic novel and showcased his versatility as a creator, screenwriter, and producer.
In addition to his solo endeavors, Casey is a founding partner of Man of Action Entertainment, a writers' collective responsible for some of the most beloved and successful franchise characters in pop culture. The collective has published original characters through their MOA imprint at Image Comics, including the phenomenally successful Ben 10, a $6 billion boys' action franchise, and Generator Rex, both for Cartoon Network.
Under the MOA banner, Casey and his team have also created Disney XD's Marvel's Ultimate Spider-Man and Marvel's Avengers Assemble, as well as the characters and team behind Big Hero 6, which was featured in Disney/Marvel's Academy Award-winning feature film, the first comic book IP to win for Best Animated Feature.
