As he grew up, Joe's athletic prowess earned him recognition as a star athlete in football and baseball, serving as captain of his high school teams. His impressive skills garnered 23 letters of intent from colleges across the country, ultimately leading him to attend Eastern Michigan University, where he majored in TV Broadcasting and Dramatic Arts.
