Joe is renowned for his impressive body of work, particularly in the realm of commercials, as well as his significant contributions to the vibrant theatre scenes in both New York and Los Angeles. Throughout his illustrious career, he has appeared in numerous commercials, many of which have been showcased on the esteemed World's Funniest Commercials Specials and have garnered prestigious awards.
As a graduate of the esteemed Groundlings in LA and the renowned Circle in the Square Theatre School in NYC, Joe made his Off-Broadway debut in Theatre-A-Go-Go's hit production of Valley of the Dolls, a stage adaptation of the cult classic film. He also had the privilege of sharing the stage with the talented David Schwimmer in the Los Angeles production of Roger Kumble's dark comedy, D-Girl.
Notably, Joe was a founding member of Tom Booker's Theatre-A-Go-Go, where he took part in several of the company's notable productions, including Manson: The Musical and You, Me, and LSD.
In addition to his stage work, Joe has made notable appearances on television, including guest spots on popular shows such as Drew Carey, Primetime Glick, and Melrose Place. His film credits include notable roles in Todd Haynes' acclaimed independent feature, Poison, as well as the 80s dance spoof, Can't Stop Dancing, alongside Noah Wyle, Margaret Cho, and Fred Willard.
Moreover, Joe co-wrote, co-directed, and starred in the indie comedy, The Thin Pink Line, which boasted an impressive cast, including Mike Myers, David Schwimmer, Jennifer Aniston, and Jason Priestley, among others.
As a multifaceted creative, Joe has also established himself as a writer and director, co-writing several pilots for television and co-writing and co-directing the short films, Santa: Portrait of a Serial Killer, Renee Turns Forty, and The Mezzos, a project that originated from Fox Searchlight's Young Director's Lab and went on to become a hit on the festival circuit, earning a spot on Logo's Best of Short Films Click List.
