Joe's early life was marked by a significant relocation at the tender age of one, as his family moved from Philadelphia to South Jersey, where he was raised by his grandmother Marie, along with his parents Henry and Dolores. As the middle child among five brothers, Joe's formative years were shaped by his experiences growing up in a busy household.
Despite his initial struggles with weight, Joe discovered a passion for weight training and boxing, which allowed him to develop a sense of self-preservation and confidence that would serve him well throughout his life.
After completing his high school education at Williamstown High, Joe embarked on a journey of self-discovery, moving around frequently in search of his true calling. He pursued a variety of careers, including bartending, bouncering, construction, professional wrestling, gym ownership, insurance sales, and eventually, acting.
It wasn't until his late 30s that Joe stumbled upon his true passion for acting, securing his first professional contract at the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire in 1995.
Joe's breakthrough in television and film came in 1998, when he landed the role of FBI Agent Sampers on Homicide: Life on the Streets, as well as supporting roles in Girl, Interrupted and Liberty Heights.
In 2002, Joe made the bold decision to relocate to Los Angeles, where he continued to hone his craft. His big break finally arrived in 2006, when he played the role of Agent Jack Parry in Live Free or Die Hard.
To this day, Joe remains committed to his craft, utilizing the same work ethic that served him so well during his athletic pursuits.
