Following his military service, Joe's entrepreneurial spirit was ignited, prompting him to take the bold step of establishing Pepitos Mexican Foods inc. in the year 1971, thereby marking the commencement of his illustrious business ventures, which would go on to define his professional trajectory.
However, it was not long before his true calling, or rather his true passion, beckoned him to the world of entertainment, where he would ultimately find his calling. And so, in the year 1982, Joe took the leap and embarked on an acting career, with a starring role in the film Patty Rocks serving as the catalyst for this new chapter in his life.
Joe's remarkable aptitude for comedy was formally recognized when he emerged victorious at the 1984 Minneapolis Comedy Invitational, thus cementing his status as a gifted stand-up comedian of exceptional caliber.
His dedication to refining his craft on stage remained unwavering, as he continued to entertain audiences in a plethora of productions staged at the esteemed Mixed Blood Theater in Minneapolis, a renowned institution that has long been a hub for innovative and thought-provoking artistic expression.
