As a child, I began my journey in the world of acting, securing bookings for commercials, television shows, films, and voice-overs. With the unwavering optimism of youth, I approached each role with a naive enthusiasm that allowed me to learn and grow on the job.
Throughout my early years, I was fortunate enough to work alongside some of the most talented and experienced actors in the industry, including Ryan Reynolds, David Strathairn, Kim Coates, Jacob Tierney, and James Woods, to name a few. These individuals took me under their wing, teaching me the importance of subtlety, timing, and the art of making it look real.
As I entered my late teens and early twenties, I made the transition to the music industry, a lifelong dream of mine. The overlap in skill sets and the performative nature of live music seemed obvious, and I quickly found myself immersed in the world of music. I was a part of the Toronto band "Benjamin," which experienced immediate success and was soon showcasing for record labels in Los Angeles and New York. Ultimately, we signed a significant publishing deal with Warner/Chappel, and I went on to record eight albums and tour extensively throughout the United States and Canada.
Having taken the time to dive deep into the world of music, I now look forward to a renewed sense of vigor in my acting career, armed with a much broader life and creative perspective. I am eager to bring a newfound sense of gravity and authenticity to each role, drawing upon my lived experiences to animate characters with depth and nuance. With this renewed passion and perspective, I am confident that I will be able to bring a newfound level of life to any character I take on.
