Joey De Pinto's journey in the entertainment industry began at the tender age of 13 in New York, where he started his career as a musician, serving as the lead singer and percussionist in several bands, touring across the United States.
He then took a bold step, serving as an officer with Company A (Assault Helicopter Group) of the 1st Aviation Battalion of the United States Army's First Infantry Division. His bravery earned him the Bronze Star Medal for action in combat.
After his military stint, Joey attended Montclair State University, Staten Island College, and University Of Miami, before moving to southern California to pursue his passion for drama, telecommunications, and film under the guidance of Professor Blankenship and Dr. Bill White, Dean of Drama.
He also had the privilege of studying under the tutelage of renowned acting coaches, including Michael V. Gazzo of The Godfather: Part II fame and Joe Bernard of the Lee Strasburg Institute.
Joey's transition to the film industry was seamless, with over 100 film, television, commercial, and voice-over productions under his belt. He has had the opportunity to work alongside some of the biggest names in the industry, including Robert De Niro, Sean Penn, Danny DeVito, Sylvester Stallone, Michelle Pfeiffer, Alan Alda, Billy Crystal, Herbie Hancock, and Joe Pesci, to name a few.
One of his most notable collaborations was with Sylvester Stallone, working on the production staff of the film "Cliff Hanger" and playing the role of Police Sergeant Ray Ban in the film "Stop or My Mom Will Shoot."
As a TV writer, Joey co-wrote a sitcom entitled "The Last Automat" and sold it to Columbia Tri-Star. He also worked on the production team at HBO on their film "Every Woman's Dream," shot on location in Auckland, New Zealand, starring Kim Catrell.
Joey's subsequent projects included working with the production team at Castell Studios on the film "Serpents Lair," shot in Bucharest, Romania, and starring alongside Michael Madsen and Maria Chonchita Alanso in the independent production of "Catharine's Grove," shot in West Palm Beach, Florida.
He then starred in the film "Cover Story" (2002) as Sgt. Joe Sacco, alongside Jason Priestley and Elizabeth Berkeley, shot in Calgary, Canada.
After returning to Los Angeles, Joey produced and starred in the mob drama "Hitters," with Robert Davi, Carol Alt, and Costa Mandylor, for which the film won Best Feature Film at the Westchester Film Festival in Westchester, New York.
Joey's latest venture is his film company, Three Kings Entertainment, which recently released the psychological thriller "Mirror Image," produced by Joey and filmed in Southern California, starring Eric Roberts, Ed O'Ross, and April Eden. The company is currently in pre-production on the action feature "Hell Hounds," set to film early 2016, and is also developing a special air service military show and a "Harry Potter" like series called "Take A Chance" for cable TV in 2017.
