John Orr is a multifaceted individual, juggling careers as a character, creature, and voice actor. He divides his time between Austin and Los Angeles, where he has established himself as a talented performer.
John's film career began in 2006, when he appeared in numerous comedy shorts produced by The Really Really Big Show, an Indianapolis-based troupe. He quickly secured co-starring and lead roles in their feature-length films, and also produced and hosted a series of live-stage variety shows in Austin, Texas.
In addition to his acting career, John is a musician, having conceptualized and co-directed music videos for his songs under the moniker The Last Domino. He writes, sings, plays multiple instruments, and produces his music.
In 2011, John moved to Austin, where he immersed himself in the city's vibrant burlesque scene. He became a go-to show host for troupes throughout Texas and signed with Zephyr Talent Agency. He has since appeared in films, commercials, stage musicals, and performed voiceover work for numerous projects.
John has also collaborated with Joseph Gordon-Levitt and the Hitrecord community, working on a variety of projects, including season two of the Emmy-winning "HitRECord On TV". He helped develop the show's segments by acting, writing, composing music, and performing voiceover narration.
John has also delved into the world of creature work, starring as a sasquatch in the 2014 film Bigfoot Wars and a chicken creature in The Whiskey Shivers' "Cluck Ol' Hen" music video. He has also appeared in two 2017 horror shorts and worked on two films chronicled in Robert Rodriguez's "Rebel Without A Crew" docuseries.
In 2017, John moved to Los Angeles, where he quickly booked creature roles as zombies, ghouls, and demons. He has since continued to work on commercials, including campaigns for Panera, Denny's, Playstation, and Realtor.com.
John is currently splitting his time between Los Angeles and Austin, where he will be filming his biggest role to date for a popular, critically-acclaimed series in 2025.
