John Paul Ruttan was born on May 12, 2001, and is a talented teenage actor recognized for his impressive performances in a variety of films and television shows.
His passion for acting was ignited by watching classic 1980s movies such as The Goonies, Home Alone, and Karate Kid, which inspired him to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. At the tender age of six, he landed his first acting job, starring in a Glad garbage bag commercial, and continued to build his resume with roles in television and made-for-television movies.
By the time he was eight years old, John Paul had already made his feature film debut in Defendor (2009) alongside Woody Harrelson, marking the beginning of a successful and fulfilling acting career.
Throughout his career, John Paul has had the privilege of working with some of Hollywood's most renowned actors and actresses, including Tom Hardy, Reese Witherspoon, Gillian Anderson, Joel Kinnaman, Abbie Cornish, Gary Oldman, and Michael Keaton.
One of his most notable roles was in the 2012 film This Means War, where he played the son of Tom Hardy's character, costarring alongside Reese Witherspoon. He also starred alongside Gillian Anderson in I'll Follow You Down (2013) and appeared as the son of RoboCop in the 2014 film RoboCop, alongside Joel Kinnaman, Abbie Cornish, Gary Oldman, and Michael Keaton.
In addition to his film work, John Paul has also made a name for himself in television, with recurring roles on popular shows such as Degrassi, Lost Girl, the Doodlebops, the L.A.
