John Posey, a University of Florida alumnus, has had a remarkable career in television, film, and stage since 1986 in Los Angeles.
For nearly two decades, he has traveled extensively across the country, captivating audiences with his critically acclaimed one-man show, Father, Son & Holy Coach. This powerful production tells the story of a father seeking a second chance in life and attempting to relive his experiences through his son. Posey's impressive acting skills allow him to seamlessly portray over two dozen different characters during the performance, making it a truly unique theatrical experience.
In addition to his work in live performances, Posey has also had a successful career in voice-over work, having shot or voiced over 200 television commercials. His versatility as a screenwriter has led to collaborations with renowned studios such as SONY, Disney, and HBO. His film, Legendary, starring Patricia Clarkson and Danny Glover, was released in the fall of 2010.
Posey is also developing a biopic about the iconic 1940s-'50s cultural figure, Gorgeous George, which is currently set up at WWE Studios. Furthermore, he teaches scene study in Los Angeles, writes speeches, and has created original syndicated programming for radio.
Born John Sanford Posey in Hartford, Connecticut, to Joan (Armstrong) and William McCutcheon Posey, Jr., he is the proud father of actors Tyler Posey and Jesse Posey. Posey was previously married to Cyndi, who passed away in 2014, and later married Amy Lord in 2020.
