John Scheinfeld is a critically acclaimed documentary filmmaker with a diverse range of subjects and productions to his credit. He has worked on numerous projects, including feature documentaries, television specials, and series.
Scheinfeld is currently in production on two feature documentaries: "What The Hell Happened To Blood, Sweat & Tears?" and "Baseball As A Road To God". The latter is a unique view of baseball and spirituality that takes the audience on an entertaining and inspiring journey.
Scheinfeld has directed, written, and produced several documentaries, including "The Happy Days of Garry Marshall", "Herb Alpert Is...", and "Sergio Mendes: In The Key of Joy". He has also worked on documentaries about music legends such as John Coltrane and Bob Hope.
Scheinfeld is best known for his feature documentaries "The U.S. vs. John Lennon" and "Who Is Harry Nilsson (And Why Is Everybody Talkin' About Him)?". The former tells the true story of the US government's attempt to silence John Lennon, while the latter is a documentary about the life and career of singer-songwriter Harry Nilsson.
Scheinfeld has received numerous awards and nominations for his work, including Emmy, Grammy, and Writers Guild Award nominations. He has also worked on projects about pop culture legends such as the Bee Gees, Nat 'King' Cole, and Frank Sinatra.
Scheinfeld received his B.A. in Communications and Sociology from Oberlin College and his M.F.A. in Radio/Television/Film from Northwestern University.
