Johnny Sneed is a multifaceted individual, boasting a repertoire of film, television, and commercial work that has seen him collaborate with award-winning actors such as Josh Brolin, Bryan Cranston, Helen Mirren, Paul Dano, Janelle Monáe, and Amy Poehler.
With a career spanning numerous television guest appearances, including recurring roles on NBC's Emmy-nominated sitcom "Parks and Recreation," Amazon's acclaimed "Outer Range," and Netflix's "Painkiller," Sneed has also made a mark in film, starring alongside notable actors in projects such as the Brian Wilson biopic "Love & Mercy" and the biographical drama "Trumbo," which earned Bryan Cranston an Oscar nomination for his role.
In his commercial work, Sneed has appeared in over 50 ads, showcasing his versatility in spots for Hyundai, AT&T, Subaru, Progressive, Kayak, and Volkswagen, as well as Super Bowl commercials for Cadillac, Little Caesars, and Budweiser.
Born in Japan and raised in Gulfport, Mississippi, Sneed was immersed in a family of artists, with his father, John, a theatre performer, and his mother, Patti, a pianist, singer, and painter. Sneed's late sister, Lori, was a profound source of inspiration, who despite being paralyzed from 1991 until her passing in 2017, lived a full life, working at CNN, studying and performing stand-up and improv comedy, and showcasing her talents as a painter and impersonator.
Beyond his acting career, Sneed is an accomplished drummer, playing with several bands in Los Angeles and having recorded an album at Levon Helm's studio in Woodstock, New York. A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Mississippi School of Law, Sneed worked as a lawyer before pursuing a career in acting. He currently resides in Los Feliz with his wife, Cristina, their son, and two cats.
