Jonathan Peter Kasdan was born on September 30, 1979, and made his acting debut in the major motion picture "The Big Chill" at the tender age of three, playing the son of Harold, played by Kevin Kline.
At the age of five, Kasdan went on to play an outpost boy in the Western film "Silverado", starring Kevin Kline, Kevin Costner, Scott Glenn, and Danny Glover.
He also appeared as a boy in a doctor's office in "The Accidental Tourist" alongside William Hurt, Kathleen Turner, and Geena Davis.
In 1990, Kasdan played the role of Dominic in the comedy "I Love You to Death" alongside Kevin Kline.
Instead of having a big breakaway role in the 1994 Western film "Wyatt Earp", Kasdan played the role of Bar Boy with leading man Kevin Kline.
In 2002, he acted in two films as a trainee in "Big Trouble" and Barry in "Slackers".
Continuing his dream in 2003, Kasdan played a bit part as Defuniak in "Dreamcatcher" with Morgan Freeman.
But in 2007, Kasdan bypassed mere acting, taking the helm of the dramatic romantic comedy "In the Land of Woman" as its 27-year-old writer/director.
In 2012, he had two films released the same week, as writer/director of "The First Time" with Dylan O'Brien and Britt Robertson, and as an actor in the role of Officiant in the Sony Pictures Classics "Darling Companion" with Diane Keaton and Kevin Kline.
Jonathan Kasdan is a survivor, having been diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma at age 17, and went on to act, direct, and write films.
