Jonny Mars, a talented individual, has been a part of numerous Sundance premieres since 2012, taking on lead or supporting roles in eight films. Some of his recent credits include the short film "Hellion" in 2012, "Pit Stop", "Black Metal", "Computer Chess", and "A Teacher" in 2013, followed by "Dig" and "Hellion" (U.S. Dramatic Comp) in 2014.
His impressive performances continued in 2017 with an appearance in David Lowery's "A Ghost Story". Mars' standout leading role in "Good Night", which premiered at SXSW in 2013, garnered praise from critics, with SMELLS LIKE SCREEN SPIRIT describing him as "a force of nature" and FILMMAKER MAGAZINE writing that his performance was "one of the greatest dramatic performances in the history of Austin filmmaking".
In 2018, Mars starred alongside Matt Jones from BREAKING BAD in "A Bad Idea Gone Wrong", and appeared in "Cover Versions" alongside Katie Cassidy for SONY PICTURES. He also co-starred in Andrew Bujalski's latest film, "Support the Girls", alongside Regina Hall and Haley Lu Richardson, and played an antagonistic co-star in Season 2 of "Queen Sugar".
Mars' impressive resume continues with his upcoming role in the Cannes 2019 Competition film "Bacurau".
