Jose Nateras is a multifaceted creative force, hailing from Chicago and currently based in Los Angeles. This talented individual has made a name for himself in the entertainment industry, boasting a diverse range of credits including appearances on NBC's 'Chicago Fire' and 'Chicago P.D.', Fox's 'Proven Innocent', Showtime's 'The Chi', ABC's 'Promised Land', and numerous other projects.
Evidently, Jose is a well-educated individual, having graduated from Loyola University Chicago and gone on to earn his Master of Fine Arts degree in Writing from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC).
Beyond his work in front of the camera, Jose is also a skilled wordsmith, moonlighting as a freelance journalist, published novelist, and accomplished screenwriter/playwright. His feature-length screenplays, 'Zero Feet Away' and 'Departing Seniors', have garnered significant attention, with 'Zero Feet Away' being included on the 2021 'Bloodlist' and optioned by Village Roadshow Pictures/Brillstein Entertainment Partners, while 'Departing Seniors' recently wrapped principal photography and is currently in post-production.
Jose's debut novel, 'Testament', was published by Ninestar Press, and his work often draws upon his experiences as a Gay, Mexican American, Person of Color, infusing the horror genre with humor and wit, much like the influences of Jordan Peele, Diablo Cody, Wes Craven, and others.
