Josh Crotty was born in Vancouver, Washington, a picturesque city nestled just outside of Portland, Oregon, in the heart of the Pacific Northwest. He is the loving son of Dennis, a dedicated teamster, and Jeri, a talented artist, who instilled in him a deep appreciation for the arts from a young age.
Growing up in the rural Pacific Northwest, Josh was surrounded by an idyllic environment that fostered his love for the outdoors. He spent his childhood engaging in a wide range of outdoor activities, from hiking and camping to exploring the natural beauty of his surroundings.
However, Josh's upbringing was not limited to just outdoor pursuits. He was also heavily influenced by his parents' artistic talents, which ranged from culinary arts to playing multiple instruments and producing homemade TV and film productions with his extended family. This unique blend of creativity and energy was a defining characteristic of Josh's early life, and it would later shape his approach to his career.
Despite his creative talents, Josh struggled to find his place in school. His reputation as a bit of a troublemaker often got in the way of his academic pursuits, and he eventually left his hometown to explore new opportunities.
After stints in construction, bartending, and fashion modeling, Josh found himself in Los Angeles, where he began to explore his passion for acting and music as viable careers. His unconventional approach to his craft, which involved a "let's just do it and see how it works" attitude, proved to be a refreshing change of pace for the industry.
Josh's lack of classical training ultimately worked in his favor, as he has gone on to secure film and television roles with ease. Today, he splits his time between Los Angeles and New York, where he continues to pursue his passions and push the boundaries of his creative talents.
