Josh Strickland is a talented singer and actor born on October 23, 1983, in Charleston, South Carolina.
He attended high school at the Charleston County School of the Arts and later graduated from Middleton High School in Charleston.
Strickland then went on to study voice at the College of Charleston under the guidance of renowned soprano and voice teacher Deanna McBroom.
In 2002, he became a national finalist on season 2 of Fox's American Idol and later appeared on ABC's season premiere of Star Search 2004.
Strickland created the leading role of Tarzan in Disney's Tarzan The Broadway Musical and performed on several TV shows with Phil Collins, including Good Morning America, The Today Show, The Early Show, and The View.
He has also had notable roles in ABC's All My Children and the National Tour of Rent, where he played the roles of Mark and Roger.
Strickland received the Outstanding Individual Performance in Play It Cool award for his role as Will in the New York Music Festival 2008's Best of Fest Awards.
In 2009, he became an original cast member of Peepshow at Planet Hollywood Casino & Resort in Las Vegas, starring alongside his friend and leading lady Holly Madison in her E! reality show Holly's World.
In February 2011, Strickland released his debut single "Report to the Floor" from his EP, which he collaborated on with Grammy Award-winning producer Damon Elliott and Norwegian pop/dance producer Axident.
The single skyrocketed into the top ten on the iTunes Dance Charts in its first week, signaling a promising music career for Strickland.
