Joshua was born and raised in the Bronx, a borough in New York City. He had a remarkable childhood, which ultimately led him to become a graduate of the prestigious High School of Performing Arts in Manhattan.
After completing his education, Joshua landed a significant role in the NBC sitcom Roomies (1987) alongside notable actors Burt Young and Corey Haim. This breakthrough role was soon followed by his appearance on the ABC soap opera Ryan's Hope, where he worked alongside Lauren Velez.
Joshua's extensive stage credits include his performances in the off-Broadway production of Between the Rains and William Mastrosimone's Tamer of Horses, where he portrayed the roles of Darci Alves and Hector, respectively. His impressive filmography features a notable role opposite Al Pacino in the thriller Sea of Love (1989).
In addition to his acting career, Joshua was also the lead singer and bassist of the heavy metal band New York's Finest for several years. Two years ago, he wrote and directed the successful play 'Dangerous Spice', which enjoyed a notable run at the Duplex in Greenwich Village. Since adapting his play 'Savage Roses' into the film 'Locas 4 Life', Joshua has gone on to write two other films, including 'Addiction' and 'Baby Fat'.
