As a television host, d'Arby made a significant impact in the UK, becoming the youngest British woman to have her own chat show, 'Josie', on Channel 5 in 1999. Her versatility and charisma also led to her presenting roles on Top of the Pops and the Holiday program, both for BBC1.
Returning to her first love, acting, d'Arby landed the lead role of Jodie Finn in the BBC1 drama Mersey Beat, a position she held for three seasons.
